    Description

1801 Peru 2 Reales Silver Charles IIII World Europe Spanish Colonial Holed Coin
Peru, bust 2 reales, Charles IV, 1801 IJ, standard bust.
    Holed
. This type is one of a series struck 1791-1808
    during the
    reign of Charles IV
(1788-1808). The years 1791-93 saw the use of a local bust slightly larger than
the standard bust of later years.
Nearly all colonial pillar reales were heavily used that most of
them are in really low grades.
Nice HOLED, example of the bust type!!
These colonial period coins circulated freely in the many
New World colonies of Spain and many were lost in shipwrecks.
Fineness: .896 Pure silver, Diameter: 27 MM, Weight: 6.60 Grams.
