antique japanese inro with netsuke

Description

This wonderful, late edo period four part , black lacquered, antique japanese inro with carved gull netsuke, and jade bead .The amazing scene portrayed in gilding relates the ancient Buddhist tale of the oxherd, the monk in search of enlightenment(see photo).  It is in good condition with wear consistent with its age.  Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
