Based on a classic FET-style compressor, the Cali76 Compact Deluxe provides a level of control uncommon among pedal compressors, offering Ratio, Attack, and Release knobs, on top of Input and Output gain knobs. Gently rein in your dynamics with slow attack and fast release settings. Dial up the ratio to draw out some top-end spank. Or hit it with fast attack and slow release for a rounded, smashed tone with miles of sustain. Even better, take that smashed tone and blend it in behind the uncompressed signal; it’s a trick that guitarists at Sweetwater like to use to retain top-end detail while fattening up the mids and bottom end. Like all Origin Effects pedals, the Cali76 Compact Deluxe comes housed in a hand-polished brushed stainless-steel enclosure that looks beautiful and can take a beating!
